Ingredients
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 small onion, finely chopped or grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small bunch fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- If you have time, prepare your koftas the day before and allow them to set in the fridge overnight.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. You can use your hands to make sure everything is evenly mixed.
- Divide the lamb mixture into equal portions and with wet hands shape into long, sausage-like patties. Thread onto four metal skewers.
- Take out your V-Grills, fire up your grill, build your embers, prepare for cooking over a medium high heat.
- *If you have not pre-prepared your koftas you can make them now* or remove your koftas from the fridge and brush with oil.
- Place the koftas into the grooves and cook for around 15-20 minutes. Remember to keep rotating so that they brown all over.
- Remove koftas from the grill and serve with pita bread, tzatziki, and a fresh salad, or wrap them in our easy flatbreads with your favourite toppings.
