Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Sausages (pork or your favourite type)
  • Bacon slices
  • Free-range eggs
  • Tomatoes, halved (or cherry tomatoes if preferred)
  • Large mushrooms (such as portobello), stems trimmed
  • Baked beans
  • Black pudding, sliced
  • Bread for toasting, sliced
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat for a mix of direct and indirect cooking. Switch one side of your grill out with a chapa plate.
  2. Place the sausages on the grill over medium heat, turning occasionally for about 10–12 minutes, or until fully cooked and browned.
  3. Place the bacon and black pudding slices (if using) on the chapa plate over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side, until crispy and browned.
  4. Brush the mushrooms and halved tomatoes with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place them on the grill, cooking the mushrooms for about 5–6 minutes per side until tender and the tomatoes for 3–4 minutes until slightly charred and softened.
  6. While everything is grilling, brush the bread slices with a little olive oil and place them on the grill for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden and toasted.
  7. Crack the eggs onto the chapa plate and cook until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
  8. If including baked beans, heat them in a small pot on the grill or on top of the firebox until warmed through.
  9. Once everything is cooked, assemble your grilled Full English on a platter: sausages, bacon, eggs, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, toasted bread, and a serving of baked beans on the side.
