Wood-Fired Asado Grills Made In Yorkshire

When developing our Asado grills, we prioritised designing a product that could be adapted to suit all requirements. That’s why a Flamery Asado grill isn’t just a grill, it's a new way of cooking meat, but one that stays true to the traditional Argentinian Asado style.

With our Asado grills you can choose between both large and small sizes, freestanding on wheels and with extra storage, or fully built-in models to create a statement outdoor cooking space normal BBQs just cannot match.

What is an Asado Grill?

An Asado grill is a type of outdoor grill popular in Argentinian culinary culture. Often adjustable, an Asado grill allows you to move your meat closer or further away from your fuel giving you complete control over your cooking. At Flamery we bring you the authentic Argentinian grilling experience, built and made here in Yorkshire.

Choosing The Right Asado Grill For You

Choose Your Asado Grill

Choose from four different configurations: full Asado grill, full grill with firebox, split grill, or split Asado grill with firebox. Each configuration offers unique benefits.

For instance, choosing a full Asado grill means you have a large area of cooking space to work with. Whereas a full grill with firebox provides an endless supply of cooking embers you need for precise temperature control.

Our split grill designs offer two adjustable grill heights with or without a firebox, meaning you can cook different foods at different temperatures, opening up the possibilities for culinary creations.

Choose Your Style

Built-in or Freestanding Grills? Flamery built-in Asado grills are designed to be integrated into your outdoor kitchen; this can require some planning so consult our Built-in BBQ Guide for detailed information. The more traditional style free-standing BBQ is available with two base options: a basic table-style stand or a trolley that doubles as wood storage.

The Size

Selecting the right size Asado grill depends on your needs. For family gatherings, a larger grill is definitely best. Bigger is always better, right? We would usually stand by this, however, if you will be only ever grilling for a couple of people opting for a smaller Asado grill will be way more manageable and efficient.

FAQs

What’s the difference between Flamery freestanding and built-in grills?

Both types deliver the same Flamery firepower and performance — the choice comes down to setup style and space.

  • Freestanding grills are ready to roll. They come with sturdy steel legs or wheels, making them perfect for patios, pop-up kitchens, or flexible outdoor layouts.
  • Built-in grills are designed for custom outdoor kitchens. These slot into stone, steel, or masonry surrounds and become a permanent fixture.

Both options feature height-adjustable v-grates, firebrick linings, and durable lids — it’s just a matter of how you want to integrate live-fire cooking into your space.

Which Flamery grill size should I choose?

This depends on how you cook and how many people you feed.

  • The Small model is perfect for couples, small families, or chefs working compact setups — still serious firepower, just in a tighter footprint.
  • The Large model offers more grill real estate and firebox volume — ideal for hosting, batch cooking, or doing full Asado-style feasts.

We recommend measuring your space and using our Built-In BBQ Guide if you're planning a built-in install. Both sizes feature the same materials and build quality — it’s scale and capacity that change.

Can I use both wood and charcoal in Flamery grills?

Absolutely. Flamery grills are authentically wood-fired, but also charcoal-friendly for convenience or heat consistency.
Use lumpwood charcoal for quick-start grilling or seasoned hardwood logs to build embers and layer in wood-fired flavour. Many of our customers use a mix — logs in the firebox, embers under the cooking zone.

Our grills are designed to handle live fire cooking at its core, so whatever fuel you choose, you’re cooking the right way.

Are Flamery grills weatherproof and suitable for year-round use?

Yes — our grills are built in Yorkshire and made to handle the elements. The body is fabricated from thick-gauge, high-temperature powder-coated steel, while the interior and grates are made from stainless steel that’s built to last.
The included lid keeps the fire protected from wind and rain, and the firebrick lining retains heat even in colder conditions.

For best results, we recommend:

  • Using a cover when not in use
  • Removing ash and wiping down surfaces after cooking
  • Storing in a sheltered spot during long spells of non-use

With minimal care, your Flamery grill will look sharp and cook hot for years.

How do I assemble a Flamery grill?

Every Flamery grill is shipped part-assembled for safer delivery and easier setup.

  • The grill carcase, or head unit, is fully assembled with the lid attached. The internal, configurable elements such as the winch, firebox, grates, and hardware are packed in the timber crate attached to a pallet.
  • Assembly takes roughly 30–60 minutes, with clear instructions provided. You’ll just need basic tools and a bit of floor space.

Whether it’s freestanding or built-in, we design our grills so anyone can assemble them — no specialist trade skills required. Of course, if you need help, our team’s just a call or email away.

What kind of cooking can I do on a Flamery grill?

Flamery grills are built for versatile live-fire cooking, not just burgers and sausages. You can:

  • Grill directly over embers or flames
  • Slow-cook and roast by adjusting the grill height
  • Bake pizzas or flatbreads with the lid closed
  • Use the optional hotplate for smash burgers, veggies or plancha-style searing
  • Add our skewer rack or Konro accessories for yakitori-style cooking

These grills are designed to adapt to your style — not limit it.

What support do I get after purchase?

Buying a Flamery grill isn’t just a transaction — it’s an invitation to the Embers Club.

That includes:

  • Expert customer support — whether you need help with setup, cooking advice, or accessories
  • Care and maintenance tips to keep your grill in top shape
  • Access to exclusive recipes, guides, and product updates

Plus, all Flamery grills come with a 3-year limited warranty. If something’s not right, we’ll put it right.
