Meet Jack: From Backyard Grills to BBQ Mastery

Hailing from East London, Jack’s love for grilling started young - gathering with friends, pooling their money for ingredients, and barbecuing no matter the weather. What began as a backyard passion evolved into something much greater. Today, Jack is the founder of Jack’s Meat Shack, a dedicated BBQ school in Suffolk, where he teaches the art of live-fire cooking to beginners and seasoned grillers alike.

Jack has spent years perfecting his craft, becoming a key figure in the BBQ world. His expertise has led him to partner with leading brands, author a cookbook filled with recipes that have shaped his journey, and build an engaged community of barbecue lovers across social media.

What’s the most unexpected ingredient you’ve grilled over live fire?
Jack: You’d be surprised how good a grilled peach can be! Caramelized over the flames and served with burrata—unreal.

How has using the Flamery grill influenced your culinary style?
Jack: Flamery takes versatility to a new level. I can go from searing steaks to slow-roasting lamb shanks without missing a beat.

What’s your favourite Flamery grill feature?
Jack: The split grill and firebox setup. It lets me control heat zones perfectly, which is a game-changer for live-fire cooking.
